I am a Norwegian musician and visual artist. I run my own company; Granborg Productions and work from my home by the Oslo fjord. I have been involved with the arts since I was a child. I work cross discipline with live performance, video scenography, text, and photography. I like to work on my own and in collaborations depending on the nature of the current project.
I am inspired and moved by the deep ecology philosophy. As a common thread in life and the art, I am concerned with the random, symphonic and rhythmic sense in the environment. I am engaged by nature as a concept, and most of all the interaction between the species. I wish for peace on a healthy earth.

The superior concept of my works the last decade is WILD, DOMESTICATED where I research the contrasts between the civilised world and the important remaining true wildlife that we still see around us. I do this with myself both in front and behind the camera with the scenery and themes of my close surroundings.
My main work in the recent years is the music and video project FLORA, released desember 2020, shown as part of the performance SACRED FLORA on Iceland 2021. FLORA has several official selections to various film festivals and rewarded with best sound at The Experimental film festival in LA.
In 2018 I made the music and video project FOSSEN I GRENSELAND (Borderland waterfall) and SACRED, both of which have been multimedia concerts and performances. The first was based on the ecological challenges of my local waterfall, the latter was an extension of this in a ongoing collaboration with the Icelandic visual artist Thora Solveig Bergsteinsdottir.
An earlier video performance project from 2014, HVIT (White) was distilled into a music video SILENT WISH and got the prize as Best music Video at Amsterdam International film festival in 2018.
During the years 2022 – 2024 I did a film and video art education at the Oslo Fotokunstskole to be more self sufficient with the technical part of making the videoworks.

Words about my works
Milos Sejn: ” Work of Liv-Kathrine Nome is characteristic by its deep sensibility of her being as a human who is able to understand earth as a living entity. Moreover she can let us know about her ability.
She gathers from dreams, myths and whishes that are understandable to all open people. Her creative tongue, that is singing texts, acoustic and electronic work with a sound and video projection. The first step is always a performance connected with a landscape. Objects and everyday life appears here, but they take deeper meaning than it is in fairytales or in myth songs. The result is music performance, connecting sound, digital picture and dance dramatic movement.
Work of Liv-Kathrine Nome is strongly myth making as we can see it in her previous work “White”. “
